Beyond the cage...

I don't know how all begun but some time ago a few friends of mine started to call me“sparrow” :)...interesting nickname, don't you think?...so do I...and I said to myself...why don't I start my new blog by writing a“tiny bit” about sparrows and cages?....I didn't have other idea to start with anyway....
I like sparrows....they seem so dainty and funny...they are also banal, common birds, I know....but that is what makes me want to look at them with interest....we are usually attracted by what is beautiful, by what is stunning and catch our eyes....sparrows are small, multitudinous (so they are not endangered species :) ), they have brown-Grey not colored feathers, we don't marvel at their chirping, often they even became noisy...we find them everywhere around and in every season....not even winter send them away.....oh! and if they only made some bigger eggs so we could cook them sunny-side up....therefore, we consider them neither interesting or special, nor useful....but I wonder....is there really nothing to admire at them...something to catch our eye?...maybe the simple fact that they aren't like mosquitoes, for example....these ones are very annoying....they bite you so bad...they just love your blood...
By the way! Have you ever seen sparrows kept in cages? ..neither do I...we see sparrows everywhere around anyway...it would be a nonsense to keep them in cages!...but...don't you think that maybe...somewhere....there'll be“some sparrow species” that have their own cage?
I don't know about you but I'm acquainted with “some sparrow species”that take human forms...or, better said, people that take sparrow forms...of course they don't grow wings or feathers!...but...perhaps... many times.... they are treated or are feeling like sparrows: common, not so special or useful, whose“chirping” isn't so interesting to listen.....and all of this contribute little by little to build the bars of a cage....some are fighting to escape, some are getting used to live in captivity...and some are being freed....better is to be one of those freed...but for that you need someone beyond the cage that wishes to unlock you...and it's so encouraging that there really is a SOMEONE who does that....

“Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet, no one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” Luke 12.6,7

Some other things....

Like any sparrow I have my own preoccupations....one of them would be that I strive to learn to make nice scratches and to handle the brush the best I can...another one would be that I like to combine scratching with handwork...I must confess that I do not talk much...so I should let you watch...I hope not in vain...some of my strives...:)
